Charming antique gold tone spelter metal figurine of a seated Regency style man with a book on his knee that originally appeared on an Ansonia mantel clock ca 1900s.
Statue is stable and sturdy. The figure has wavy long hair, is classically posed draped in fabric, and the collar, cuffs and breeches reveal him to be the educated ideal of the Georgian era. (Even if he does have his foot resting on a book and scroll.)
Good vintage condition with original aged patina that has rubbed areas and tarnish. Please see pictures for complete view. Looks fabulous on a library shelf or as part of a side table vignette.
