Own a very early AM/FM radio from 1948. This unit has been fully tested and is fully operational. I can send a link to a video so you can see and hear it in action.
This AM/FM radio uses a Superheterodyne circuit with 6 vacuum tubes (12BA6, 12BA7, 12BUA, 12AU6, 19T8, and 35B5). The case is made of Bakelite.
This unit is in very good condition. There is a set of cracks on the top, the frequency indicator shows some heat damage, probably caused by a tube overheating, and 1 knob is missing. Otherwise it looks much like it did in 1954. Please review the photos in detail.
When shipped, this item will be double boxed to protect it during the shipping process. I also insure all my shipment so if you buy it and it arrives with abuse signs on the box take many pictures as you open it up. These will be essential if an insurance claim is needed.
