The EMX IRB-4X2 Thru Beam Photoeye builds on the success of the original IRB-4X by offering advanced features in a smaller and more convenient package. This photoeye is used as a safety, reversing, or opening device in conjunction with automatic operators and is compatible with any control board that accepts dry contact on the input. Easy to install, the IRB-4X2 is suitable for use with garage doors, rolling doors, parking barriers, and other equipment. It features an integrated sensor hood that shields the device from the elements, ensuring reliable performance in all conditions. Additionally, the IRB-4X2 has a removable terminal block for easy wiring, a 1/2 inch NPT conduit hole, a 115-foot operating range, a potentiometer for precise range adjustment, a thru beam design that is unaffected by shiny surfaces, and a wide 24-degree transmission angle that allows for easier alignment and increased reliability. Note, however, that the IRB-4X2 is not intended for use in applications requiring UL325 compliance.
