These two shadowboxes are an excellent example of paper tole art. The artist meticulously cuts several duplicate layer of the subject to create a 3-D effect.
The first picture is Sahatsadecha and the second is Thotsakan. Both are giants entrusted with guarding the Wat Arun temple in Bangkok, Thailand.
If you look carefully you will find subtle differences between the two pieces.
Each one measures 10.5”-13.25”-1.5”. Both are in excellent condition.
