Rare, one-time famous find that’s near impossible to find on the market! Fully natural, elestial smoky ametrine amethyst with silver mica from the “St. Elmo’s Fire” find in Medina, Brazil. The limited crystals produced here were given the Saint Elmos name for the amazing color play and citrine cores within the stunning Smokey amethysts. This beautifully detailed, high quality specimen features a raw, double / multi terminated, amethyst with elestial / skeletal growth and many defined phantoms and hot spot zoning. The gem looks dark purple-red until held in the light- then hues of violet to magenta, purple, gold, red, golden yellow and pink glow through! Mineral inclusions (citrine, hematite, iron, prasiolite, smoky quartz) create the stunning colors and phantoms within. An accent cluster of metallic mica is a perfect contrast on this excellent example of the prismatic colors and form of this find. Gorgeous cabinet sized Brazilian display specimen at approx 5.5 by 4.2 by 4cm, 63 grams.
