Condition: 7/10. Origins of this jersey are unclear, but there is some faint staining/ghosting from the previous logo crest across the chest. Additional staining from other sources is apparent as well. Jersey may have been recycled for multiple teams and players many times as was the norm back in the day. This is how I received the jersey, but it appears that the Sox logo and #35 were been restored recently.
Extremely rare authentic jersey from the mid 1950s! Number 35 was worn by 8 time All-Star Vern Stephens in 1955. Five time All-Star Earl Battey also wore 35 on this style jersey for a handful of games during the 1955 season, so technically this could be attributed to either player.
