RecPro RV Temperature and Pressure Relief Valve and 1/2" Back Flow Preventer with Check Valve

This temperature and pressure relief valve is made of brass, with a 4" epoxy-coated probe. This coat on the probe prevents corrosion buildup on the valve to keep things working well for longer. The inlet connection type is a national pipe tapered, the outlet connection type is MNPT, and the outlet connection size is 1/2". Protecting the water heater from excessive water temperatures and pressure, this valve is factory pre-set to 150 PSI and 210 degrees Fahrenheit. Corrosion-resistant, it weighs about 8 ounces and is rated for about 15,000 BTU. A backflow preventer is installed before the hot water heater and works by allowing the water to pass only through it in the direction of the hot water heater. It does not allow water to pass through it from the other way. This keeps the hot water from entering back into the tubing and getting into the cold water supply. Made of brass, it's drinking water safe, durable, and rust-resistant. It measures 2-1/8" long and is easily installed through the two 1/2" male threads on either side.
