The sugar bowl's farm scene of oxen and a hay wagon is based on a copper engraving from the turn of the last century. Uniquely shaped, the straight sides of the bowl slant inward toward the top, then flare out in a yellow band highlighting a black laurel wreath. A wreath of flowers adorns the domed lid, which culminates in a peaked yellow knob. Dressy enough to keep only for formal gatherings, Audun Ferme also makes everyday dining a fine occasion.
